Why attend? If you are seriously planning to raise private equity in the next 6 to 12 months, ask yourself:
1 With public equity markets down 20+ %, how do you correctly value your private company? 2 Do you have a good overview of the language and ramifications of a term sheet that will be offered by an investor? 3 Are you familiar with how angel and VC investors value companies, dilution impact and valuation negotiations? 4 Do you want to network with private equity experts and other fellow entrepreneurs?
What is the Content and Format for this all day Investor Ready™ workshop? The workshop has been designed by the US Angel Capital Education Foundation with content provided by angel experts. Their programs have been delivered across the U.S. and around the world and are ranked 4.5 or better out of 5.0. Over 200 people attended the first four workshops in this region and 100% of the attendees at the last Workshop said that they would recommend these workshops to their friends/colleagues.
This Investor Ready™ workshop is designed to be highly interactive for an audience of 40+ participants and features an extensive PowerPoint presentation followed by Q&A, case studies and a panel of local experts. This is not an introductory seminar or an academic course, but a real life workshop. Following the presentations, a panel comprised of savvy angel investors, an experienced venture capitalist and an early-stage transaction lawyer, will focus on a sample term sheet and valuation of pre-revenue companies. This content is usually offered only to investors and not to entrepreneurs. See draft agenda.
"The Term Sheet and Valuation workshop was excellent". Mark Longo, Director & Investor, Vancouver
"The multiple example Term Sheets presented and the different points of view expressed by the panel were engaging and valuable". Maryam Keyvani
"The information was extremely useful and quality of the speakers / panelists was first class. The networking opportunity was valuable as well". Peter Maclean
"The seminar was very useful and very professionally presented. The presenters were the best you could ask for". Kambiz Taheri, Polymer Research Tech
"Best workshop I've ever attended titled Term Sheet & Valuation - run by the Angel Forum". Natalie Sisson, FundRazr, Vancouver
Ample time for networking during breaks, sandwich lunch and possible end-of-day networking.
Introduction Elevator Pitches: Attendees are asked in the morning to deliver a 20 second "infomercial" that describes their business and funding needs to hypothetical investors. This is great for networking among attendees including investors.
Who Should Attend?
