Our events are known to be well run, organized and supportive. Founders can apply to present at:

  • Angel Forums - in-person pitch events in Vancouver with an investor audience

  • Summits - community events featuring company pitches, alongside panelists and speakers with a mixed audience of investors, founders and other players in the ecosystem.

  • Workshops - Both in-person and online.

At present, our investor members mostly focus on BC based companies, although we welcome and enjoy an increasing number of companies from Alberta and other Canadian provinces .

What do we look for?

Or better, what peaks our Investor Members’ interest:

  • A product or technology that solves a problem

  • High growth potential in a large market

  • Sustainable competitive advantages (usually proprietary technology)

  • Probability to earn the investor 10x their investment in less than 5 years

  • Traction, and a strong management team

What do we offer?

Access to a diverse, focused, supportive and motivated group of Investors to network with.

And a 10 mins presentation slot followed by a 10 mins Q&A session at one of our in person events.

What is the process?

We will have a close look at the materials you sent us and if you are a good fit we will add you to our “live” list of companies we select from 2-3 weeks before before an Angel Forum or Summit. Keep in mind we usually have 30 applications per event.

If you are selected, we will send you an invite to present 2 weeks before the event.

All our members have access to your 2 page executive summary and pitch deck through our member-only member platform .

To help both Founders and Investors and to level the playing field, Angel Forum offers in-depth webinars and workshops ranging from Intro to Angel Investing, the Investor-Founder Relationship, Term Sheets, Valuation, Due Diligence to Exits. Throughout the year both in person and online and for both Founders and Investors

Workshops are presented by seasoned investors and members of the tech eco-system who have co-founded, invested in, managed, advised and exited from a number of successful technology companies.
